About Us

Jennifer Spielman, MM, MA, CCC-SLP is a certified speech-language pathologist and vocalist, with graduate degrees in Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences from the University of Colorado (Boulder) and Music from the New England Conservatory (Boston). She is a classically-trained singer and specializes in the evaluation and treatment of the adult voice.

From 2000-2012, Jennifer was a key member of several NIH-funded research teams at the National Center for Voice and Speech (NCVS) and the University of Colorado, Boulder, investigating voice therapies for individuals with and without Parkinson disease (PD). Her work with Lorraine Ramig, PhD, studying the effects of the Lee Silverman Voice Treatment (LSVT LOUD®) on people with PD, has led to authorship on over a dozen peer reviewed journal articles and book chapters and more than 50 presentations at international speech and voice conferences and conventions. As a clinical voice specialist, Jennifer worked with the Center for Voice and Swallowing Services and the University of Colorado Voice Practice, both located at Denver Center for the Performing Arts, before starting her own practice. She has held appointments as clinical instructor in the Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center School of Medicine and taught courses in voice rehabilitation and instrumentation at the Summer Vocology Institute , which provides specialty vocology training through the University of Iowa.
